My friend killed my Tama

I left my tamagotchi at my friend's house after visiting her (the keyring must have come undone) and she texted me to let me know. I told her to look after it until school tomorrow. She just sent this:

If she didn't know exactly how to care for it, she might not have realized it'd gotten sick or was starving, especially if she went to eat dinner or to the toilet when it called out.
It sucks to have a Tama die on us, but it was a rite of passage for most OG Tama fans. At least, when you're ready, you can hatch a new egg

Yeah, sadly these old-style ones don't really have a proper pause. OP is lucky it fell off their keyring at their friend's place and not in public.(⁠;⁠ŏ⁠﹏⁠ŏ⁠) this is a key example of why I dislike the ball chain style keychain chain.

Oh! @Tamagotchibloop ! Since you keep yours on your keys, I reccomend you replace the chain with something more durable, like a carabineer with a thumbscrew lock. It'll be way more secure! (⁠´⁠∩⁠｡⁠•⁠ ⁠ᵕ⁠ ⁠•⁠｡⁠∩⁠`⁠) You'll want to make sure it's thin enough to go through the ring at the top of your Tama, but that should still be pretty easy to find.

Ah, the ball chains make me too nervous to actually use whenever I bring my Tamagotchi out of the house. I would definitely suggest something like a necklace to keep it close. It's fun making outfits based around what Tamagotchi you wear.

Oooh I've done this! I have a super long necklace chain that looks braided almost- I've used it to wear my angelgotchi on something that looks nicer than a lanyard with EGL. It worked great! I definitely reccomend this too.
Or if you carry a handbag, keep it in there when going out.

Omg there is a boxed angelgotchi at an antique store that visit time to time, its expensive but it has been sitting there for years collecting dust, rip. The device itself looks super cute, but the price keeps turning me away. Is it genuinely a fun model or does it fall short compared to other devices?

Also, you can haggle at antique stores! Since it's been there for a while, I reccomend taking it up, dust and all, with ebay pulled up(showing for sale or completed listings, whichever is generally lower hehe) and asking if they'd accept a price you deep reasonable. There's often a bit of wiggle room- and I've managed to get a fair bit off on a few things at antique stores! Since it's super dusty and been there a long time, they might call the seller of the booth and ask if they'll take a lower price but it's definitely worth giving a shot!

Thank you so much for the advice! I will give it a shot! I have haggled with them before. Funny enough I got a boxed copy of the Gameboy game in perfect condition, practically dirt cheap, so it is definitely possible to knock the price of it down to a point where it is within the realm of affordable lol.
