He stroked her hair, "How old are you, now...?"

"I'm somewhere near 800." She said quietly.

He staired at her, wondering. "You.. vampires." He said, quietly. "Make me wonder. Im... genetically engenired, and yet, I have a life expactancy thats miniscule compared to yours."

Elda sighed, "i wish we didn't live so long."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

He stroked her again, "And why is that?"

"because.. i just don't like seeing all the changes. and do you know what i've lived through? a lot of bad things."

 

[Self:.:Pity]

"I can imagine." He said, thinking. "Ive been through a lot, but... Youve lived through more then I think I could bare.:

And then she let out a sigh, and made a small smile. "and.. baring more than 20 children isn't the most fun, either."

He raised an eyebrow, then nodded in her direction. "God, that dosent sound... pleasent."

"it's not, but i love all my children." She looked ahead at the others, who had their backs turned, and kissed Jeremy's cheek.

Jeremy, who wasnt expecting this from a former.. victim, of his, turned a bit red. "r... yha... I could understand that."

Elda smiled, "shocked ya, didn't i." She giggled a bit at him.

 

[Self:.:Pity]

He laughed a bit, the mist from his breath forming clouds every time. "Yes, indeed.. got me."

She smiled, "your adorable when red, do you know that?" She was still paler than pale, like as if no chilly air toucher her face.

"Yha." He said, tightening his lips to the cold. "Matches my hair, you know? Is... complementary"

Elda reached up, and stroked his cheek. "warm though. but yes, it looks good with your hair.."

He smiled, so slightly, at her touch. "Hmn... I couldnt tell, its so... cold."

She nodded, "we're almost there though, i can smell them." Elda still had a strong sense of smell, something her husband was beginning to lose.

Jeremy, sadly, had even less then her, due to his age. "Oh.. yha, I guess."

"i can't wait to be there, i'm freezing. even cuddling in you, i'm cold.." Elda whispered.
