Ishmael smiled and said, "Okay, I'm glad. I was worried that you didn't like it." He held her in his arms, burying his face in her hair.

Marie said, "You aren't joking with me, are you?" She looked up at him nervously.

"Why wouldn't I like it?" She laughed quietly. "You're a man hard to come by nowadays."

"I'd never joke about love." Gale assured her.

Ishmael sat down on the sofa, and patted the space next to her. "Sit by me," he said softly, smiling.

Marie smiled and kissed his hand gently. "Okay, as long as you're sure... Hey, we're leaving to take me to school tomorrow. Will you come to say goodbye to me?"

"Sure." Azazel sat beside him, and then looked up. "Lala~"

"I'll visit you everyday." Gale nodded.

Ishmael put an arm around her, smiling at her lovingly. "You have easily become my best friend, Azazel."

Marie nodded slightly, then wrapped her arms around him, looking up at him happily.

She smiled, "As you have become mine." Azazel laid her head on his shoulder, at peace.

"You're so cute." Gale stroked her hair.

Ishmael kissed her gently, then wrapped both of his arms around her, holding her close to his chest.

Marie climbed into his arms, then gave him a quick kiss. "You're cuter!"

"You're so different." Azazel whispered. "I've never met anyone like you."

"Am I?" He laughed, giving her an eskimo kiss. "I highly doubt that."

Ishmael smiled and said, "Well, I'm glad that I'm so different. Otherwise someone else would be the one with you tonight."

Marie said, "You look like a handsome prince!"

Gale blushed a bit, "do I really? That's a first."

Ishmael said, "And I'm very glad to be here with you." He kissed her forehead, then said, "So tomorrow we're off to the city, to take Marie to the Royal Academy. I'm sort of nervous."

Marie nodded and giggled. "Like in the storybooks my mommy read to me when she was still here!"

"I can tell you are nervouse. She'll be staying there for a good few monthes."

Gale smiled, his eyes a little waterry. "Thank you."

Ishmael said, "So, basically like a regular school year... I hope she'll be okay."

Marie looked startled. "Gale, why are your eyes watery?"

it wouldn't even be in the can. just buckets of it, flying at you.

"She comes back to us during the christmas break." Azazel nodded.

"Because I love you." He whispered.

Ishmael nodded again, resting his chin in his hands. "I hope she likes it there, and doesn't get too homesick."

Marie said, "Please don't cry! I'll come home during Christmas break!"

Ishmael said, "It might be a problem when she gets older, seeing as they may want to get more physical with each other. I'll have to talk to him about that..."

Marie smiled up at Gale and said, "Okay. Well, I need to go to bed, Gale. Night night." She climbed out of his arms, then went to her room.

THE NEXT DAY

Ishmael picked up Marie's meager suitcase and said, "Marie, we'll have to buy more clothes for you at a later time, okay?"

"I can make my own with magic!" Marie said, giggling.
