Catalin looked like he was about to cry, but kept everything back, trying not to draw attention to himself. Instead, he curled up around his knees- WIllard, invisible, could not be hugged because of his stealthy state.
Adam was standing at the edge of the camp, waiting for Jade. Although he didn't want to admit it, he wanted to make sure that the young woman was okay. And that Croy had managed to keep her safe.
Jade eventually emerged from the darkness, and strode up to Adam, smiling. "I'm here, and all in one piece. Can I visit the others?"
Jade turned back and beckoned to Croy. She didn't mind if the others saw them together. She then walked into the camp, looking around.
The men rushed to her, all talking and jabbering at once. They were all congratulating her on her good health, and telling her how they wished she would come back and do chores again.
She laughed at that. She did, occasionally, miss all of the odd jobs she had. Mentally, she was hoping Jackson would talk to her tonight.
Jackson didnt seem to be there, though. In fact, it didnt seem as if Jackson was anywhere.
Croy, however, was readily there. Beakoned by his lovely, he arrived form out of the trees and touched down quite gracefully next to her. However, the beauty was lost on the men, he supposed. Theres nothing more non-human then, well, a non-human.
The man who spoke up (His name was Daryll, but this is trivial at this point) spoke softly. He had never been one to talk in the first place- He had a motto, "It is better to be thought a fool and say nothing, then to speak and confirm the fact.", but I digress- He spoke of Jackson, and he said simply,
oh my goodness! I love that quote! Isn't it Abe Lincoln?
"Where!?" She exclaimed, very worried-- and upset. She knew he had been mad at her. But she did want to try and at least get along-- maybe even be friends again. "Did he say? Which way did he go?"
