Jade reached for a sharp rock. "You don't think I'll do it?" She lifted up her arm... and then it swiftly came down again, the rock smashing into her skin. "One...." It hurt more than she thought it would.

His wings faltered a bit, then lowered, and he struggled to keep control over himself. He smelt the blood, even though the sore healed up as quickly as it was there.

Jade did it again. "Two..." This time, her voice cracked. That one hurt more.

 
Well, today turned out great for me.

I'm the drama club president (which I wanted very badly)

And I was also elected president of Tri-M honors society, which is a music performance club. I didn't even plan on running, but someone nominated me. xD

Jade said, "Then... please... just let me have my way. I can take the pain."
