In Australia, where I live, we only have primary (grades 1-7) and high school (grades 8-12). I'm in high school at the moment, in grade 8. I guess that would be roughly the same as middle school, would it? The only advice I have is to behave because it will efect your school's reputation. I know someone who's daughter is in grade 8 at my high school and her class behaves absolutley terribly! They had a maths exam and, guess what? Only two of them actually did it and the rest of them were sitting at their desks throwing rubbish and bins around. The teacher just had enough so she just walked out and left. Imagine what she was thinking! @$@$$^$#%^*&. Probably something along the lines of that. Also, once they had a science assignment and only two did it, the same two that did the maths test. The science teacher ranted and raved and screamed. We could hear it from my science classroom, upstairs and 5 rooms away! Their whole class got extra homework, even the ones who did it. :furawatchi: It's really sad to think of those two hard-working kids that are in that horrible class. Anyways, as you can see, never ever hand assignmets or exams in late, do what you're told, never argue, and ALWAYS try your best, no matter how anyone else behaves. Don't let my little -or big- post make you think middle school is scary. It is fun when you hang out with the right people.

You really shouldn't worry. It's pretty scary at first - lots of different teachers, the responsibility of getting to every class on time, more assignments to worry about, and different people. However, after the initial shock you'll sink in and be fine. It is quite different from elementary school, but in ways it's more fun - the real social part of life (i.e., boyfriends and girlfriends. [ ], making new friends) starts to flourish, and you begin to learn who your real friends are.

High school is where it really gets tough - no need to worry to much about middle school.

This is my first year in middle school.

It's good because you get lots more freedom. I mean lots. I really enjoy having a locker, too. There's lots more people, so it's easier to find friends. There may be more homework on some days and less on ther others. One day I had an hour and a half of hw and the next day I didn't have any. There's more teachers, too. So if you don't like a teacher, you don't have her/him too long anyway.

It's bad because at the beginning, I always got lost! I was leaving school and I took the wrong hallway, so it took me 15 minutes to find the right way to go. But don't worry, you'll eventually find out. In middle school, I forget to do stuff more, because at the end of the day, you're teacher doesn't just give you everything to do. Each teacher gives you a little.

Another good thing is you know when everything is expected. In middle school, you can do your hw before any class that you know you have. And if someone else has a different schedule, they might let you copy their paper.

Matchy

Please, before I begin, don't hold me to anything I say. It's all my own opinion, you don't have to agree, so don't quote me saying something along the lines of "That's not right!", because it's all my opinion. So don't.

Middle school is all fun and games for me C: Nothing about it is hard, but maybe because I'm an advanced student... Not bragging, but seriously. xD And no homework tonight! Ohyes!

But for the advice. Just be yourself and pay attention in class. That's how I am. C:
That's just how I am!
