ok if you are using windows movie maker (mm):

1-go to "clip" in the top panel

2-go to audio

3- choose mute!

hope i helped

i find it easy to save the songs in a folder on your desktop, then open mm and the folder with the song in it and drag the song onto the "collection" part of mm, then drag the song into the timeline.

and for the song evanessence ROCKS!

i haven't heard that specific song though.
