KILL THE SCHOOL SYSTEM!

Year-round schooling actually doesn't help. There have been studies done, and most of them have shown year-round schooling doesn't help children academically.

It also costs the school more money. Why? Well, first of all, they have to pay the janitors more. During summer break, the janitors come only a couple times to keep the school clean. (At my school I think they come three times. Once after school ended, once in the middle of the break to make sure everythings good, and then once again right before school starts.) If you have breaks throughout the year, the janitors will come right after break, right before break, and then come throughout the rest of the year school is going on. You will also have to pay more money for air conditioning. See, at most schools they don't need air conditioning because there are only a couple weeks that you actually need it. They will need to use it throughout most of the summer though, and pay to get it installed and keep it running.

It will also ruin a lot of things. No more summer camps. Not as much swim team, etc.

But, children have no say in things like this, because we are not yet of the legal age. There's nothing you can do.

Ok, first off, a bunch off kids petitioning won't really make them chnage their opinions (Unless of course you sabatoge their house's for a year). I'm sure they won't say yes to that year round school idea because that would be a big problem to the teachers, you get a shorter break, they do too, you stay at school till 8:00, THEY DO TOO! So of course they'll say no unless thet are mentally unstable. So don't worry.

Wow, That Sucks!....School ALL year round? ouch. I hope it doesnt happen here in...Canada
