It's another "Which one should I get?" thread. Picking a color tamagotchi (Kinda steering towards an ID L)

Hi everyone and happy new year! New in this forum.
I'm sorry for making this thread because I know this has been asked to death here. I'm looking to buy a color tamagotchi but I'm a bit conflicted about what to get.
At first I had my sights set on an ID L because it seems to have a looooot of content, stuff to do and characters to raise in addition to having goals like TamaTomo.
How does it compare to the On or 4U+? I've read some comparison charts and while all the other ones have less characters, I'm not entirely sure how they make up for that.
I know the On has gene mixing which kinda makes up for having less characters but I don't know if eventually you start seeing the same repeated features sooner or later in which case, wouldn't be better to have unique characters?
Does the ID L have the best bang for my buck?

The iD L and 4U+ are the most similar to each other and the iD L is the better of the two, imo. It just has more base content and characters to raise, not to mention a variety of downloadable content if you buy an IR adapter.
Now the On is a little different from the other two because of its main gimmick being genetic mixing. The generations go by a lot faster and there isn't really a "goal" like TamaTomos or Clover Pieces. I still think it's a nice tama overall, but it's definitely different from the norm for color tamas.

This is one of my big issues with the gene mixing. A lot of times you get certain features that just stick for multiple generations in a row. I remember having a lot of issues with Lovelitchi ears... You can still get some pretty unique characters though!
I'd say that the iD L is overall the best choice. No hate to the 4U+, but in my experience it's the most lackluster of the three.

I was reaching a similar answer. Besides I checked some prices and the On is going for A LOT today, over $100. That's a lot for a virtual pet for me.
I went with the ID L, found one in Japan for like $58 complete in box even.

Oh man... I had no idea the price of the On had gone up so much! That's a great deal for the iD L though, definitely worth it.happy2
