I'm trying to learn about the connections again, and this feature is one that I don't remember if there was a reason or not. other than the fact that you can see your "parents" in the family history book on your tama. I'm currently running 2 music star, and 2 tama-go. Both have the Gen feature, but is there another reason?

To record the tamas you have.

The Tama-Go, will unlock stuff after you have had a certain amount of tamas logged.

Then it also doesn't reset where your points/items are gone...

It gives you a better edge with getting different instruments to play on the music star. You don't want them all playing guitars right? So once you have another baby, you get a new instrument (and toy) It expands your band instruments.... in a way, because they can play the one you have too.

Its been a while since I've played with a Tama-Go for more then an hour.... so.... eh.

Ooooh I didn't know all of that! Now it makes sense to keep going.
