I am not sure what I should do.

Is it worth buying the Tamagotchi ID L?

They look really pretty but I didn't know if

it is worth the money!

Last night I got really excited and wanted to buy it.

Does anyone have some feedback on what it is like?

Examples...

- Quality

- Bad points

- Good points

- Ect...

Thanks a bunch! ;D

- Quality

The quality is flippin amazing. It's the best color Tama there is, it's very durable (I once dropped it on wood but it still works ;D) and the color is so bright and nice.

- Bad points

Some people don't think it feels like a "pet" enough. If you leave it alone for more than 4 hours at a time, you'll get a care miss. No pause feature. But really, that's all that's bad!

- Good points

So many characters to raise!

The unlockable destinations

The downloads are seriously epic.

It has so much to do, you'll never, ever get bored.

Personally, I love my iD L to pieces. If it ever broke, I think I literally would have a meltdown. I would definately get one if I were you.

Pretty much the only iD L hater is Dazzlitchigirl, and she replies to everything, so we'll get her opinion. ;D

i kinda don't think you should buy the idL because its alot of money first of all i was planning on buying it but i can buy like so much more then just one idL

but its ur choice but please take my advice :)

It may be a lot of money, but it's definately worth it. IMO, my iD L is so much better than any of the black and white ones I have.

If you're considering it, I'd definately go for it. I love mine sooooo much.

I love my IDLs. (Regular IDL and 15th Anniversary)

I believe both were worth EVERY penny. I love on them so much that I freak people out. They are certainly my favorite tamagotchi ever.

I can't make up my mind whether that's an insult saying I hate the iD L or a compliment saying I regularly reply to stuff :p

As soon as I clicked What's On Your Mind today, I saw this topic and immediately went on it to see what the person was asking about. So you're right, I'm just about to give my opinion.

Well, first off, I wouldn't call myself an iD L "hater". I used to be a bit immature and even got reported once for saying bad things about the iD L and Angel, but now I know not to say those things. I think the iD L, to me, is so good it's bad. It's frustrating to me, trying to get all the happy symbols and persuading parents to get a phone for downloads is practically impossible.

Basically:

Bad points: Too complicated and needy for kids with school and "machine time" limits (e.g. me), sometimes a pain trying to find a compatible phone for downloads, sometimes needs a lot of play time (e.g. to get stuff like happy symbols), hard to sneak into school

Good points: You can never get bored, great for logs, the colour screen is cool, the downloads look amazing and I'm dying to get them if only I was allowed a phone!

Quality: DO NOT use metallic pens on it. Why oh why did I have to be so silly and ruin half my collections with permanent marker? It wears off other Tamas with a few days of running the Tama, but my iD L still has that horrible green marker on the shell. The outer shell is pretty fragile and easy to ruin, but the model is like a brick coated in egg shell; it never breaks or glitches!

Overall, I'd say you should get one. After all, I'm the only one who dislikes it.

Thanks to everybody who just gave me so may briliant

examples! :D I get the picture with what dazzilitchigirl is saying out sneaking them

into school. If I left mine home I hope that it won't die!

I haven't gotten one yet but from all

of these comments I'm sure to buy one hopefully soon!

Thanks!

Yes and Violetchilluvr3 Dazzmia is NOT the only one who hates the IDL. I got mine. Liked it for maybe about a month then HATED IT! It was so complicated!! Plus I didn't like any of the ugly characters. Unless it was an original character. The color looks so much more like a pet to me. It has all original character ecx itchigotchi. So do you want a tama that has so many features? If so the Idl is great for u!

Thanks

Edit:

Oh and I forgot the good points!! Well

Great color screen!! It looks amazing!

Some characters are cute

Fun to go to the restaurants and bakeries

Fun to try to find the Ta Ma To letters

And thats about all I can think of

Overall u should get one. Only two people in the world don't like the Idl. lol

Bye!!

Well I've only had my iD L for like a day and I'm so in love with it. <3

Quality: it's huge, so I suppose it will be harder to slip out of your hands. I don't know, I haven't dropped it. XP the colour's really nice, but I think you should get a screen cover (as recommended by various tamatalkers)

Good points: some of the characters are pretty cute, and personally, the iD L was appealing to me because you weren't limited to like, the little room where most connection tamas stay. The iD L has the park, shops, and all sorts of stuff, and the little scene where your tama is walking to the park/shops/restaurants/arcade/etc is pretty cute too. XD

Bad points: for me is that when your character talks to another one in the park I have no idea what they're saying. :( without downloads, I can see why it gets a bit boring after a while. Also, it's expensive (around the $70-$80 mark for mine)

Etc: I'm warning you now. If your family isn't used to the fancy rare tamas, and if your family is like mine, they'll take your iD L and just stare at it going all "omaigosh this is so cool itssa in COLOUR"

Overall I love my iD L and I think you should get one. One more tamatalker obsessing over their iD L. XP

Thanks a lot for the advice :3

By the way, what are the downloads for

it? I didn't know you had to do downloads.

Please tell me what they are for!

Thanks!

You don't HAVE to have the downloads, it's just something to make it more fun. ;)

You download them on to your computer, and then onto a phone with infra-red, and then you beam them over to your iD L. They can be anything, from food to items to clothes and seeds, ect. They're just an added bonus to enjoy your iD L.

Oooh, the iD-L! Personally, I love mine to pieces, it's my favorite Tama. :) I recommend it to anyone who loves Tamagotchi.

Pros:

-The color screen

The pixel art on the iD-L is so cute, there are so many details. The color screen is bright enough to be used as a flashlight to see what's directly in front of you if you set the brightness all the way up. :p It's great for checking on your Tama in the dark too.

-Cute Characters

The iD-L has 32 adorable adult characters and 49 characters in all. Some of them are new which adds to the fun. :)

-Downloads

Extra games and items that you can beam over to your iD-L for extra fun, kind of like the Gotchi Figures for the Tama-Go but they're free.

-Durability

I've dropped my iD-L once on hardwood floors, it didn't leave a mark. I do recommend putting a screen protector on the screen to keep it scratch free though.

-No glitches

Unlike the Tamas that we have here, the iD-L is glitch free. :)

Cons:

-No pause feature

This actually isn't much of a problem, you can set your Tama to the time it goes to bed to 'pause it' without pausing it. ;)

The iD-L is worth every penny, you won't regret buying it! :)

If you would want to have an iD L, I suggest the 15th anniversary. Why?

1. All of the downloads for the Tamagotchi-iD L work on the 15th anniversary.

2. The games use all three buttons and are more challenging to play.

3. It's "15th Anniversary" so it's special. ;)

4. Cuter and old characters that are new to the color (including Mimitchi!)Tamagotchis. :)

5. It's worth every penny to have a special edition Tamagotchi for under $100 dollars! (not on eBay but CDJapan.)

Thanks to everyone who has commented to me on this Topic.

I'm surely going to save up money for it! ;)

Thanks a bunch!

I don't mind if you keep commenting about this Topic.

Thanks! ^_^

I am such a vintage tamagotchi lover, because they're authentic and precious - that being said, I cannot get enough of my iD L. I am in love with it.
If anything happened to it, I'd ... I don't even know. I feel like a part of me would just chip away. It's amazing. I feels like more of a pet than any of my other tamas did, believe it or not. There are so many features, but they're all optional. It's all in COLOUR, which helps immensely in the desire for it to be an actual pet, considering online pets, and real pets, are in colour, herpderp.

I loooove it. It is SO worth the money. I actually have the money saved right now to go ahead and purchase the purple 15th anniversary iD L. I love my original Yellow iD L, but I want have the 15th as well, for collectors purposes but also to run. I'll be purchasing another iD L, and another 15th edition in a month or so, so that I have one of each available to run, which the other two are not to be taken out of the box or messed with.

It is definitely worth it in my opinion. If you have the option of purchasing either or, do it. You won't regret it, and if some how you do - in turn, it is worth a tonne of money, and you'll be able to cherish it as a part of your collection.

Etc: I'm warning you now. If your family isn't used to the fancy rare tamas, and if your family is like mine, they'll take your iD L and just stare at it going all "omaigosh this is so cool itssa in COLOUR"
XD, my family is so used to me going "HEY I FOUND THIS AMAZING RARE TAMA FOR A REALLY GREAT BARGAIN ON EBAY CAN I GET IT PLEASE?????!!!!!!!" that when I ordered my iD L, they were like "when ARE you going to be satisfied with all your rare expensive Tamagotchis?!", but I've already got the answer sorted out: NEVER!! But when I got my TMGC+C, my first rare Tama, it was welcomed to my home by my brother snatching it and crying because I wouldn't let him open it. My argument was really totally amazing and made everyone instantly go on my side: "It's MY Tama!"

I got to go to school now. Bye!

Hi everyone!

I (FINALLY) bought a Tamagotchi ID L!!!

I might (I said I might) post some pictures of it.

I am sooooo excited! I was really unsure on what colour

to pick but I chose the purple. It was either

the blue or purple. I hope I don't regret choosing purple (doubt I will).

Well thank you every one who commented on this topic!
