IR Led in Samsung Galaxy S4 . . . It's a good news for Tamagotchi, right?

According to SS G S4 keynote yesterday

SS said they have IR Led techonology in their phone (and use as remote control)

I think this function should be adaptable to use as IrDA for sending items.

I don't think it is. The infrared used on TV remotes (which is the purpose on the Galaxy S4) is different to the kind Tamas use to connect and download items as far as I know

I haven't been able to find the complete specs for the galaxy 4, so I can't say it'll work or not. There are several IR protocols. The one used for controlling your TV / Bluray player is called CIR. CIR is generally transmit-only. By that, I meaning the remote talks and the television listens. Normally, a remote has no way to listen to the television (if it could talk.) To be able to use IR with a Tamagotchi iD / iD L / P's, the IR must be able to both talk and listen. The IR used for computers and cellphones is called IRDA.
