In the Parent Stage, how long can a baby stay sick before it dies?

Hello my fellow Tama carers

something that's been making me wonder for a while. On the Tamas which keep a baby with the adult for a couple of days after it gets married (like the V4, Akai, Osu and Mesu, etc), the baby usually gets sick a couple of times a day (at least on the V4, I don't have too much experience with this stage on the Akai and Osu/Mesu). Anyone know how long the baby could stay sick for before it dies? (I'm always paranoid and checking the Tama frequently in this stage in case the baby gets sick)

Also, if the baby does get sick and die, what happens? Do you go back to just your adult and you can breed again? Or will both of them (the adult and baby) die simultaneously?

I’m not sure about how long it will last before it dies but I do remember that if they got sick both of them will die, which means you will start over with a new egg.
