Improperly rated games.

The Simpsons Game- T!? SERIOUSLY! The worst word they use is dam (NOT a beaver dam) and it's like "whoo I'm punching. Wooh, I'm hitting people with a taco, ooh, I turned into a fat blob and crushing people" like seriously. It's not graphic. It's like, not bloody/realistic. It should be rated 10+.

i was just talking about this a couple of days ago!and what about board games? othello is for people 8+, yet i played it before i was 8. maybe, it's because of how addicting it is? or what the younger kids believe that it can happen in real life? yeah, a little kid would believe that he could catch a pokemon outside with just a ball.

AND THE ESRB THING WAS CREATED BY PARENTS. AND MY PARENTS LET ME PLAY TEEN GAMES. :/

Some food for thought.

It was created somewere in the 90's. Sega games first sported the rating system, due to games like Mortal Kombat. More s**t hit the fan with games like Primal Rage.

GTA is rathed M, due to you boff random hookers in the street.

Sweet Kandi pretty much hit the nail on the head in this topic.

Stores even ask minors if they have a parent or gaurdian if they wanna purchase a certain game.

They rate harmless fighting games such as this old Naruto one I had for my Wii, Teen. I wanted my friend to play with my once but his mom was "No noo I don't need my son exposed to violence,"

Yeah, but it's not like all the games with fighting/weapons is rated M. Where you need to have an adult to buy it with you.

The ratings don't suck. People who whine about them make it suck.

GTA is rated M, due to the content, stealing cars, swearing, killing, mowing people over and that you have sex with hookers to restore your life.

Most fighting games are rated T, due to violence and brawling. Mortal Kombat is rated M, due to the killings of the people you defeated.

Same games are rated E +10 here, due to some content such as bathroom humour, some reading I.E The GBA Final Fantasy games and slapstick content.

Whoever mentioned the Pokemon thing.. Kids will do that. It's a kid.
