I went to the eye doctor yesterday because I have noticed my eyes getting just a litte bit blurry at distance or after studying small Chinese Characters for long periods of time. It's not major, but enough to annoy me a little. He checked my eyes for all sorts of stuff, and he found that I am just slightly nearsighted. I also found out that my pupils are so large naturally that he didn't need to dilate them at all to see into my eyes. hehe  I always knew they were big!

Anyway, it's so minor right now that I will only need to wear my glasses for things like night driving, studying, and sometimes in Chinese class. I picked out a really cute designer pair from Thalia. They are a neutral copper-color on the top of the frames, with no frame on the bottom. The ladies at the glasses section really liked them on me, they said they accent rather than hide my eye shape. So, I ordered them. :D

How many of you have glasses? How long have you had them, and what do you think of them? I'm curious!

I've had glasses for about 5 years now. I prefer them over contacts.

My eyes weren't really bad when I first got them, but they've gotten a lot worse over the years x.x

I got glasses when I was in grade two. (Now I'm in grade 5) I only have to wear them when I read but I really hate them. There pink and red with hearts all over them! I don't wear them anymore because they were really annoying and uncomfortable (there also really ugly!) Besides, I love reading and I can see the letters perfectly so I don't see why I even need them....sorry, this isn't really helping is it!

I have glasses, and I've had them for almost a year now. I don't really like wearing them, even though they don't look half bad on me. Why do I hate them you ask?

1. I don't need glasses <.< I can see perfectly fine without them. The only reason I have them is cauz the eyedoctor thought so because I mixed up a p with a q.

2. My eyelashes are REALLY long and keep abtting up against them, which really annoys me.

3. I can always see the frame/rim of teh glasses when I wear them, and I HATE that!

;) Good luck with your glasses!

*Tgd*

I got glases when i was in 2nd grade. they dont bother me so much, but sometimes they might bother you behind your ear.

I wear eyeglasses too. I like them and then I hate them, it al just depends on what day it is. :( The clerck that helped me out with the choice told me that the glasses I was thinking about were really cute, (but they were the most expensive, too.) :( I like them and all, but they hide my eyes very much, indeed. The once I have now are plastic, so they stand out more...

Anyway, good luck Aubrey! If you have the time, would you mind taking a picture of the glasses itself? All in all I am sure you will still look a lot like Aubrey Hepburn even with the new glasses you picked out, hehe. :)

Best of luck,

Tama-Love

I have glassess and I like 'em! I've had them for a few years. I thinkk they cover up the lines under your eyes!!!!! :( :) :( :( :( :( ;) ;) :D

i've had glasses for about a year but i lost them

I have had glasses since 2nd grade and now I am in 7th grade.

I didn't really need them when i started, it's just i was slightly nearsighted like you.

I hardly ever wore them at first,

and didn't start until 3rd grade.

Then, i became farsighted.

I wore them in 4th,5th,and 6th grade ALL the time because my eyedoctor told me too.

My eyes have gotten a lot worse over time,

but it's alright,

there is not sign of any eye dieseas or something.

Glasses don't bother me at all,

and I find them more comforting than contacts.

And like Ninny308 said, they cover up the lines under your eyes.

Yes, it's true...[depends on your glasses]

that is quite helpfull when you are very sleepy and have lines under your eyes.

They are not hard to clean, comfortable, and help you eyesight [ most of all!]

Good luck with you and your new glasses,

Luv4tamas

I had glasses since first grade. I'm now in 6th. They're not too bad, I guess. I have trial contacts, but I can't get the idea straight of toughing my eye, so I haven't put them in yet.

A good way to put contacts in is to make sure you're not touching your pupil. Always look to the side while putting them in.

I always have problems taking them out x.x The thought of squeezing my eyeball bugs me lol

i have glass, but i dont really have anywhere to keep them during skool so i dont wear 'em.

heh heh.
