iD L's, iD's, 15 anniversary...CONFUSED! And I need help with downloads...

OK well, I have a Tamagotchi iD L and I don't really like it. I have no idea why, but I don't like it. And I've heard about 15 anniversary iD L's, iD's, some Princess Spacy thing that's coming out next March, and I AM COMFUSED.

iD L 15th Anniversary - does this have any new features?

iD L Princess Spacy - does this have any new features?

iD - is this not worth getting if you already have an iD L?

iD Lovely Melody - is this not worth getting if you have an iD L, is it any different from regular iD?

If these different iD L's are any different to regular iD L, I might get one. Are the iD's worth getting if you have an iD L? And yes I did some research but it was all in Japanese.

Another thing I'm asking is: One of the reasons I dislike my iD L is because I can't get downloads. I have no phone, I am not allowed to have a phone, and I did get some kind of USB thing but it didn't work. So what else will work first or second try? Or can you recommend any cheap phones? My dad will help me with this, provided that the downloads are worth it and the phone+delivery costs less than about $20. Please can I have full information about downloads to avoid confusing my parents, because I will need their help and permission?

The 15th doesn't have new features, essentially, to an iD L. It has new characters, new items, new foods, new seeds... It's pretty much the same as an iD L in terms of gameplay, but not character-wise. It also uses the same downloads as the iD L.

Nothing is known about the PS ver. yet, other than it's available for preorder. Bandai will probably make the official release soon (yes, they haven't even release it yet) and then they'll start giving out information.

The iD is kind of an iD L with less features, I guess you could say. It only has... What, 13 characters, I think? It doesn't have unlockable locations (only one or two), not many clothes if you don't downloads, and still only two games without downloads. You can't grow seeds or have pets. But remember, it came out before the iD L so just the feature of having downloads was supposed to be huge (which it was) and "make up" for the "lacking features". As a result, there are a ton of downloads out there that people have made and that Bandai released.

The Lovely melody Ver. is the 15th Ver. of the iD L, if that makes sense. It has different characters, different games and such, but gameplay is pretty much the same.

As far as phones go, eBay is your best bet for something cheap. I got mine for $35 which was a steal, but we had to do it by Craigslist which means that my parents had to go to the lady's house to pick it up. Seeing as how your mom is obsessed with Internet safety, don't think she'd go for it.

To get the downloads on the phone, you have to have a data transfer cable. YOU ALSO HAVE TO HAVE THE CORRECT SOFTWARE ON YOUR COMPUTER, I learned this the hard way!!! After that you find the downloads (On Tama-zone, I can give you the link if you want), save them to your computer, and then click on them and drag to your phone (more details if you want). Then on your phone you click beam by infra-red and you've done it.

I have both IDL and15th Anniversary. They actually seem pretty similar in some cases. The games are more challenging, but the IDL downloads DO work n the 15th Anniversary tama. The characters are pretty cute. As far as I can tell, they switch up the toddlers and teens to the adults. To make it more random.... But I've got Lovelitchi twice... So I have no idea what I might have done to get different characters.

If you are asking if its worth getting the 15th Anniversary version. I believe it is worth it. I really enjoy it. I find it WAY easy to get the IDL items to the 15th Anni tama. (Exp since my IDL has SO much money on hand from so many generations...) Then you can have most of the happy items by the time you tama is an adult.

The connecting between them is pretty fun too. Figuring out the text aside.... Its simple once you realize where things are. They do annimations, take pictures together, games, lots of random things.... Most of the time when you connect the 15th Anni version, you get money from plain connecting.... I do anyway.

OK, sounds good! Well, the 15th Anniversary iD L sounds great, but I've already got TWO regular iD L's for connection. My brother gave me one, and now he wants it back. Just yesterday he was threatening me that he would tell my mom I had stolen it (which I hadn't) and make her make me give it back. This would be quite a loss to my collection. Thankfully I managed to get him to drop the subject, but eventually he's going to get that thing back somehow. However, if I had a 15th anniversary iD L or a Princess Spacy one, then I could give my brother's iD L back and not have to worry myself to bits about my brother stealing it etcetra. The 15th Anniversary iD L sounds great for my collection, and great fun too, but by the time I'd finished saving up for it, the Princess Spacy one would be the total craze. Maybe I'll get the Princess Spacy when it comes out, or even preorder not that my parents would be likely to allow it. But the brother iD L problem is a big one. If I said I wanted the Princess Spacy for the lame excuse that it would be good for connecting, they would say, why can't I use that iD L my brother gave me? The problem is, as soon as I touch that blue iD L, my brother will want it back again. If I went and told the whole thing to my mom, she would most likely make my give the iD L back. That's the bad thing about my mom; she's totally unpredictable when it comes to problems between me and my brother.

So, I think I'll go for a Princess Spacy iD L once it's released. I start saving...NOW!

Have you tried CDJapan? Its a pretty good site... I got my 15th Anni from there for roughly $65... With Shipping. Came pretty quick to me... Like 5 days.... But it was JUST before the Christmas rush.

Princess Spacy IDL.... Now I must figure out what THAT one is. Lol. They would probably have that one on pre-order there too....

The 15th Anni last I knew was low stock though.... I don't know how many they would have now. WAY cheaper then Ebay's prices. You can *probably get both for the price of one 15th Anni version's cost on ebay....( like the $120 I've seen....pufft)

Well, suddenly $30 has appeared out of nowhere (in my cabinet), and I made a lot yesterday so I now have $57 all for fast shipping. On New Year's Day, I get all my pocket money for the year, which is about $100. I made up that rule on purpose because of BanDai's new habit of releasing Tamas early in the year, so I can preorder, and luckily my mom let us have that rule so now I get a load in January, all for BanDai Japan's latest release! What will that get me? Will I get away with a 15th Anniversary AND a Princess Spacy, or just a Princess Spacy? Because I'll take everything I can get hold of!

I'll probably add to my $57 delivery money, so I'll end up with about $100 in that direction by the time the Princess Spacy is released. That will give me roughly $200 NZD altogether. I'm sure that will get me a fast delivery Princess Spacy, or a slow delivery Princess Spacy and 15th Anniversary, but will it get me a medium/fast delivery Princess Spacy AND 15th Anniversary?

You'd have to do the math. You can find both (I'm pretty sure) on CD Japan, and if it's one or both, get both. You'll regret not doing it in the long run if it's a couple days you're getting one, versus a couple days missing it and getting both. Plus, lots of times they ship faster than they say. I got my iD L 3 weeks before I was supposed to, do I'd get both.

It turns out I'll have enough money for both, and I found them for great prices on CDJapan. Now the next bridge. My parents STILL don't trust me as the Tama expert of the family, so they may not think I know what I'm doing and say something parent-ish like "try the 15th Anniversary then get the Princess Spacy if you like the 15th Anniversary" or "I though you didn't like iD Ls". But I bet I can cross that bridge easily enough. Thanks for the help!

I've decided what to do: I'm going to just get the Princess Spacy. It sounds like it was made to have new features, whereas the 15th Anniversary was just made for Tamagotchi's 15th anniversary and probably has less new features. Thanks for the help!
