ID L to ID L E connect?

I am sure the answer is going to be no, but figured I would ask anyways. I recently discovered newer versions of tamagotchi. I have an ID L and wanted to get an english version. Before I did I wanted to know if they could interact together?

Yes, they're both capable of communicating. I used my ID L to connect to the LE for one of the secret characters. The ID LE also can connect to the P's too.
