my sisters and my tamagotchi both have partner ratings. but no matter how many times we connect, we dont get a friggin egg!

Is it a love stage? Where both tamagotchis are in love with each other? I think you have to wait a while to get an egg.

its possible ur tamagotchis arent of mating age

Well, yeah.. they have to be at least 24 hours into their Breeding Stage to mate, and their "passion" meters (or whatever you want to call them) have to be at the highest level. If both of those things are checked off on your checklist, just keep connecting and you'll have tama babies in a few days.
