I need help with my cat

Okay, I think something might be wrong with my kitty.

1, he's usually very shy, but now he'll just lay in plain sight

2, he'll let me pick him up

3, when I just did so, he felt lighter than usual

4, he recently had/might still have fleas. Maybe that has something to do with it?

5, he's only about 4 years old, so it's not old age

6, I've been feeding him properly

Do you know what's wrong..?

Take him to the vets. Thats the only easy way.

Take the cat to the animal clinic, it might have a disease or need some testing

I would suggest that you don't pick it up... the cat may be trying to say something... or may be under deppression

Yeah, maybe he's just been exercising a bit and he's getting more used to you but you should take him to the vet anyway just incase.

That may be it. My dad says he's been playing with him with a laser pointer (which most cats get alot of exercise over)

Has it been drinking a lot latley?

It is possible for a cat to have diabetes and loosing weight is a sign of it. Take it to a vet even if nothing looks physiclly wrong. It may also be something as bad as cancer or a toumor. Pray and take it to the vet are the best things to do. I know I felt horrible when my dog got a toumor but they removed it and she is doing great. Praying helps!
