How much work are the newer Tamagotchis?

I've been taking care of Tamas for a good 10 years now but had to stop due to school and all that. I was wondering how much maintenance the newest Tamagotchis are? Like, the Tamagotchi Friends. I have work and college every day and was worried that the 6-8 hours I'm gone every day would be too much for them. I really wanted to get one, but I'm worried about it being a bad idea since I'm so busy.

the tamagotchi friends aren't too high-maintenance, i've left mine alone all day unpaused while i was out with friends and it turned out fine

they're pretty nice!

Ah, thank you so much! I guess I can order one and test it out. I saw a few vintage Tamas on amazon for like $30 I may look into getting too. I saw an Angelgotchi for $20something I think.

The TamaGo is also very low maintenance. It takes a lot to kill them (my brother left his alone for about a month before it died).
