how is tama comparing to other virtual pets?

its always sort of had the upper hand in the market... but im not guna lie the whole virtual pet industry isn't doing to well, tamagotchi is really the only on on the market as of now. its doing better in japan though, so yaay

It's better because it doesn't die overnight. *points to PDA and other scholastic vpets* It's a very simple toy and it's cute and fun overall but it's doing better in japan than in America.

I've invested in MANY different kinds of VP's and to be brutally honest - The Tamagotchi is worlds/yards/hugely better than any other pet I've used. They are funny, they are unique, they are fabulous. All others really don't compare.

i have just recently played with a pocket puppy and dinosaur pet, after a while, it gets boring. because i basically do the same thing, feed, clean, etc.

do you do the same thing for tamagotchi?

New giga pet and TV explorer thing- super boring, it's fun the first few days, but a put away toy for me, in the attic you go, hammy! But I have to say, the TV explorer is quite fun, I still play it sometimes.

LPS pen digital pet- The only thing that's fun on it is the bowling minigame

LPS new horse digital pet- okay... not the best

LPS old hamster and frog digital pet- boring

Pokewalker- as good as a tama :3

That one vpet i got out of a book catalog, I dont remember the name- died overnight then sold it for $20

this is probably just a matter of opinion, but i really liked the lps digital pets. im probably just being bias because it was the first virtual pet i ever had, but even when i play mine today it entertains me. so i duno.

I like Tamas but I like Giga Pets digital doggie and Nano Puppy better. I just prefer dog VPets to anything else. It's all I collect these days.

tamagotchis probably have connection system.besides, it has many pixels on it.the other virtual pets dont let you to connect except for the LPS.but actually the LPS is not connecting, it's actually just a magnetic item that lets u to communicate with other LPSs.

Scholastic vpet dies overnight. LPS kitty is cute but boring. Tama is cute and fun and goes to bed.

i have 3 kinds, virtual puppy, virtual dinosaur, and tama.

the first two sleep at a fixed time, tamagotchi p2 1997 actually sleep at different time according to its growth.

i feed the puppy once a day, that is it. i have to keep feeding tama often throughout the day.

the first two only have fixed body shapes, but tama actually changes according to how i take care of it.
