Actually..
Considering tamagotchis are Japanese, the correct form of plural would be the same as the singular, seeing as in the Japanese language there is usually no distinction between plural and singular. So, technically it should be 'tamagotchi'.
And the correct way of pronouncing tamagotchi is "tah-mah-goe-tchee" with a tiny pause between the goe and the tchi, as characterized by the baby tsu for anyone familiar with Japanese. But I don't expect anyone to do that, so you can ignore that bit.
Oh, and the "tchee" can also be just "tch". It's simply a matter of preference. Not pronouncing the "ee" is a colloquial thing. I have heard both from native Japanese speakers.
[As most of you know, it comes from 'tamago' and 'tomodachi', egg and friend respectively.]
Ichigotchi is "Ee-chee-goe-tchi". ['ichigo' being strawberry, and with the same pause.]
Of course, that is only from the point of view that tamagotchi names should be pronounced in the Japanese way, considering they ARE Japanese.
I hope someone found this helpful. ._.
