I stayed up to watch it happen cause I had read about it. It wasn't so much the watching and then saying goodbye, it was the bit where he just closed hit eyes and drifted up really slowly off the screen.

yes i was very happy because i felt proud that he was all grown up but still very sad he was leaving!
