If you want her to stop, don't feed her. Leave her alone and ignore her.

Anyway, to get an avatar (aka: the pic at the right), go into settings and go to edit avatar. Then choose a picture from your computer or from an image hosting site, ie: photobucket.com and upload it. If you look around there are more detailed explanations.
