I've been told this;

It is completely random what toddler you get as there is 25% chance of getting each toddler character.

Personally I ALWAYS get Tamatchi.

this may work cuz i have a connection you have to make its weight low abouty 6 or 7 and treat it really good by keep checking on it constonly
