How do I get my angelgotchi to pray more?

I understand most of the things about the angelgotchi (after HOURS of research) but the one thing I can't quite figure out, is how do I get them to pray more, and what's the point of the Angel Points? Help!

i think its one of the behaviours you cant influence so each stage will have a set number of opportunities to provide praise and raise the AP (most of the other tamagotchi versions have similar mechanics to this)
iirc the AP is only for deciding which adult the tama turns into
