How can you tell a v1 from a v2?

I'm looking for a v1 and v2 but I honestly can't tell the difference on eBay. I need to know the physical difference, not necessarily the technical differences.

Hmm, well v1s have more basic designs than the v2 so if you know which versions came with which designs, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Other than that, there isn't much of a physical difference between the two versions that I know of.

if it comes in a package look and see if its rounded, if so, its a v1. if its rectangular, its a v2. also do some research on the shell colors, and beware of the batch 1 v1's. they had battery issues
