Soda, fizzy things, for one.

I also get the hiccups sometimes from eating salty or sweet food without drinking anything.

you can get hiccups from drinking very fast or eating very fast it depends on if you have a strong stomach or a weak stomach well atleast thats what my mom told me

Well, I eat really fast, so that could be part of it, I guess.

I get hiccups sometimes, but my dog is worst for it he gets hiccups quite alot and it's so cute :D . When I brought him home when he was a puppy he had hiccups then too  .

You get the hiccups when your diaphram has a spazam.

I don't know how u get spazams tho....

Yeah same for me eating fast. That's the most common way I get hiccups, other than that I don't where I can't them from.

For me to cure them I usually hold my breath for a while, or drink something. xP

When I get hiccups holding my breath never works, I usually just have to wait till they do.

A hiccup or hiccough (normally pronounced "HICK-up" (IPA: [ˈhɪ.kʌp]) regardless of spelling) is an involuntary spasm of the diaphragm; typically this repeats several times a minute. The sudden rush of air into the lungs causes the epiglottis to close, creating the "hic" listen (help·info) noise. A bout of hiccups generally resolves itself without intervention, although many home remedies are in circulation that claim to shorten the duration, and medication is occasionally necessary. By extension, the term "hiccup" is also used to describe a small and unrepeated aberration in an otherwise consistent pattern. The medical term is singultus.

Information from wikipedia.org

I get hiccups by forcing myself to burp several times.

I like the hiccups and I don't get them as much anymore! Listen to what my 4th grade teacher said to me 2 years ago...

"When you get the hiccups, It's a sign that you are growing....So hiccups are actually healthy."

Do you belive that? IDK.
