Help with Deco Pierce

Hey guys. I just got the Miracrise deco Pierce in the mail today and I plugged it in and everything works fine but I was wondering, how do you get the characters associated with the Pierce? Do you need to have a baby and it will evolve into one of the characters associated with the Pierce? Please help as I really want one of the girl characters

When your characters a teen you have to use the item it tells you to 3 times.

Miracrise growth chart as well as the others.
