I finally was able to cross Santagotch off my wish list!! So excited for this thing :D I'm going to run it this winter, soon as I'm finished with my Morino, and I was wondering... What should I expect from the Santagotch? There isn't too much information on it on the web; all I've been able to gather so far is you collect daily items and sometimes Santaclautch will make an item from them that makes him look more like a Santaclautch. Is that all there is to it, though? How does the "distance traveled" bar fill? I've seen the growth charts, but I'm not entirely sure how to get each version of Santaclautch, and which one gives the best "ending" to the unit. Any help or extra info is greatly appreciated!! :D

Oh man I've been wanting one of those for ever!! How much did you get it for?

It was in the box, $150 with free shipping :D

There's another one fairly cheap on eBay right now actually if you're interested. $150 with $12 shipping. No box though :\

This might help. You are paying too much for it, to be honest. I got mine used for 60 USD along with a Morino, Umino, Osutchi, Eng P2, Hong Kong edition P1, translucent clock P1 and an Angelgotch... I don't find the santagotch to be really fun, I actually prefer the umino.

Good luck!

Edit:spelling error

This is a reasonable price for a boxed Santaclautch. New in box Santas have been selling for much more of late :)

There aren't many guides around for the Santagotch, but the Wikia is quite thorough and explains the distance metre, if you haven't already taken a look at it: https://tamagotchi.wikia.com/wiki/Santaclautch_no_Tamagotch

Right at the bottom is a link to all the characters, and what items give which character... but honestly, the best part of the Santagotch is the surprise of finding all of the new items yourself because there are also secret characters. Overall, the Santaclautchi it is a very unique release, even though it may not have as much replay value as other vintages. I run it each Christmas, and really enjoy it because unlike all other vintages, the Santaclautch does not die of old age and so you can keep it as a companion ^_^

I should probably mention that it really doesn't matter if you don't find the items you need to become a traditional-looking santa claus on time for Christmas day. He's still able to perform his Santa duties no matter what he looks like ;)

Thanks a bunch, everyone!! I'll definitely save those pages for future reference. I'm hoping I have enough time to get all the secret characters :D
