I'm talking ot a friend from hockey on MSN. She says that a guy in her school thinks I'm hot, he wants to go out with me. I have no idea what he looks like, his name or anything. I've never had a boyfriend, either. I'm afraid if I say no, I might break his heart, hurt his feelings, or something. Advice please?

EDIT: She just said she was going to try and find a pic of him and put it as her display picture.

what Tears Are Like Storms said! meet him first. and if you don't like him, then tell him that you can't return his feelings. but don't be harsh about it. are you flattered? tell him if you are. good luck!

Well, think about it. If she didn't think you would like him, she wouldn't have told oyu, now would he? Thats what friends do.

First, find out who he is. Then, get to know him. He might be the right boyfriend for you right now, and he may not be. You'll just have to tell him. He'll understand.

Yeah, ask around and ask to meet him before you'll consider. If he and you seem to connect, go ahead and give it a shot, if you don't see a long time future offer to just be friends and say you don't want a a BF right now.

If you don't want to go out with him it won't break his heart. Get to know him, you might like him too. Don't worry so much about his feelings, if you don't like him and go out with him it will hurt him alot more in the long run when you have to end it because you never actually liked him - which is worse then just saying no.

Well, from what I've experienced, friends doing matchmaking can be an absolute disaster. But they are trying, I guess.

are you going to post his pic. here if you find it?

Thanks for the advice, everyone

EDIT: He is a year older than me, too. But my friend says his brother (My age) Would go out with me too.
