Help on Families, Characters, and Pets

After looking at some of the V5 character/growth charts, I am unsure how to achieve a certain family, or character. I'm also confused as to what a "Pet" is, and how to get one. Any Info. you can give me would be much appreciated. Even if you know a website that I could get Info. from, I would love to hear about it ASAP! Thanks in adavnce for any help!

To get a certain family, say the "Mame" Family, you must first raise your tama to a Mametchi, then marry it to a Chanotchi by using the dating channel. When they marry, you will get a pet that comes with the family you raised. If you need anymore help, you can just PM me. Hope I helped!

If you want a pure family lets say, such as mametchi as mcdougri said, raise one of your teens to a mametchi. raise his bonding to 100%, and then marry him to a chanotchi. when they marry, they will turn into mamametchi, and papamametchi and leave 2 eggs behind which hatch, and then in an hour turn into mametchi and chamametchi. to see the pets, they appear in random family animations, and also on the family plaque.

here. each pure family has a pet and you can view them in the stats right next to where it says which family you have and in certain animations.

Thanks so much for the clarification! I only got my Tamagotchi V5 yesterday, so I didn't quite understand everything. I have had past versions, but none are as confusing as the V5

I still love it though!

My Tama's are still children, but I'm waiting for them to turn into teens either sometime today or tommorrow.

Anyways...

I've heard alot of talk about the "space family" but never really understood it. All I know is that Planetchi (or however you spell it) will come up on the dating show and offer you some kind of sun tamagotchi, and thus is the begginning of your space family. But I was wondering, will the family stay, or could it still change into a different kind of family? Like a mame, kutchi, etc. ??
