Thank you so much for your quick response, I have been playing around with the tamagotchi and realised I have somehow disiplined the tamagotchi. If you can explain how to keep doing that or what button I press that would be very helpful
When your Tama calls out to you, but does not have all 4 hearts empty in hunger or happy, you will want to scroll to the last icon on the bottom bar to discipline it for calling without reasons.
In these instances, your Tama will refuse to play with you or eat meals (Burger in your case) even if a heart is indeed missing as well. You have 30 min to respond to a discipline call, or it will be counted as a discipline mistake (not to be confused with a care mistake).
Discipline helps determine which adult Tama you get, and if you have one of the rereleases the discipline bar is unreliable for tracking this as there are extra calls that put it over 100%. Seems like it would be easier but the problem is the meter doesn’t have anything to do with the evolution. Instead, how many calls you have missed overall (even with a full bar) is what determines the adult Tama you get.

Thank you so much! Four more questions and then I think I will be confident in my knowledge. Should I set the tamagotchi time to my local time and the real time around me? How to I pause my tamagotchi? I think I have turned off the audio, how might I turn it back on? What do I do at night with my tamagotchi?
One last question actually, very sorry but what exactly is a discipline mistake and whilst might be the consequences of one
Unless you work like nightshift or something, I would set it to real time.
Pause it by going to the clock and pressing the left and right button at the same time. When the clock says “SET”, all growth and needs are paused. When you are ready, just set the clock again and press the right button to unpause and the clock will run as normal.
Turn audio on and off by pressing the left and right buttons at the same time, but this time on main screen where your Tama is.
At night your Tama will sleep, which is why you want real time unless you have nightshift or something. Child Tamas sleep from 8pm to 9am, Teens from 9pm to 9am, and adult vary pending on the one you get. Most of them are 10pm to 9am…but there is one that does 10pm to 10am and another that does 11pm to 11am. While I suggest doing real time, you can always adjust your clock to fit what works for you if those times are inconvenient.
A Discipline Mistake is simply failing to discipline your Tama within 30 min of it acting up. There are no real negative consequences to missing it, but it does determine which Adult you get alongside Care Mistakes (which are failing to reapond to your Tama calling out when it DOES need something).
Basically there are three adult Tamas that you can get by having 0-1 care mistakes, and your Discipline will determine which of those three you get. Likewise there are 3 adult Tamas that you will get for having 2 or more care mistakes at any stage of its life before becoming an adult. Which one of those three you get are also determined by the discipline.

Hello, I have another tama question/problem. I accidentally left my tamagotchi in a bag for a while and woke up to find this. Pressing the middle button does no longer show me the time, but pressing the c button shows me the age. All other controls do not work and at 10pm last night the tamagotchi was still not asleep despite being set to local time many days before this inconvenience. This morning the tamagotchi is still in the same state. I have attached a video to this post. If anyone can help me please let me know.

Sadly your Tama has died and what your are seeing is the end screen. When you left it in the bag it must have gotten sick from lack of care (zero hearts in hungry or happy) or perhaps you even fed it too much candy at some point if it wasn’t longer than 12 hours. The 4 yrs indicates the age it died.
To start again, press the left and right button at the same time to get a new egg.

Oh no! I have respawned a new egg. Is there a limit to the amount of times you can respawn a new tama?
No there is no limit. Don’t get discouraged we have all been there. I would just make a habbit of checking it every 2 hours and keeping it nearby so you can hear when it calls out for being bad. The best way to do good care is to just never let the hearts go all the way out even though you have 15 min to answer to a call once everything is empty.
Just clean its poop as you see it and give medication when it is sick (you have 6 hours to respond before it dies after it gets sick) and you should be good on that front.
Also I would refrain from giving it snacks, as too many will make it sick more often or eventually kill it even though it isn’t technically a care mistake to my knowledge. They are kind of a last resort if you don’t have time for the game to give it happy hearts, but should always opt to play with it if you can.

Thank you! One last question. What should my tama weigh at each age. My new one is 0 yr 5lb. What should it be?
It is good practice to keep them at the min weight for each stage (will increase as it grows). Each Burger you give it (meal) increases weight by 1 and each cake (snack) increases weight by 2. Each time you play with it (win or lose) weight will decrease by one (won’t go lower than base min weight for its stage so don’t worry about going too low).
Oh I should add the hour that it spends as a baby, the 2 hour rule doesn’t apply as it will need constant care. Once it grows to the child stage (big blob I call it) you can start the 1-2 hour rule.
