but when my granny used to live she went out and she got robbed. when she got home she laughed and dad said, "Why are you laughing?" and she said "because I dont expect anything back!" and all they took was a stupid VCR. XD

If anyone was gonna rob my house I'd surprise them/him/her and say, "Sick 'em speedy and mcloud." and they'd attack. and i'd be laughing and saying when they run "AND DONT COME BACK!"

they don't know how smart I am for an eleven year old. XD

Sorry to disappoint you, but an 11 year old just can't beat a grown man in a fight. It doesn't matter how smart you are. The actual smartest thing to do would be kick them in the balls. Even if it isn't a hard kick, it hurts.

Yeah.. our house got robbed when I slept over at my cousin's house while my parents went out somewhere.. he took everything important. (Wallets, credits cards, mobiles, videos, DVDs, DVD player, my dad's racing helmet.. a lot of expensive stuff. That idiot)

I've never been robbed but my old car was broken into >.< They stole all my CDs and what little change I had in my cup holders. They tried to take my subs and stereo, but failed. Idiots.

I don't think anyone would break into my house, because I never leave XD There's always someone home.

Also Surfer_girl, even if the robber was a woman, it wouldn't matter. Unless the robber is a kid, an 11 year old girl isn't going to be able to do much.

My house has been burgled (robbed) twice. Both times when the house was empty fortunately.

It is a horrible, upsetting experience and the second time I was extremely glad we didn't meet the burglars - they left kitchen knives lying around the house which they had obviously taken with them when they were going into each room to use as a weapon in case they met someone... *shudders*

If you are 11yrs old it is not a good idea to think about confronting anyone who is trying to steal something from your house.

The way I see it, you can always save up and buy new stuff (if you don't get to claim on the Insurance) but you can't save up and get your life back if you are attacked and killed....

Our house gotten broken into by three blokes when we were at home once. I don't remember because I was a baby at the time but apparently they came through my sister's bedroom window and my father scared them off.

I find the whole concept of being robbed quite scary. I just don't mix well with the idea that someone has invade my home as home is like this safe house where noone is supposed to be able to hurt you. When another person breaks in, that destroys the psychological safety. I wouldn't feel safe anymore as there would always be that fear it might happen again.

Everyone has scary dreams like that sometimes - but take comfort from the fact that in real, every day life, you are sensible enough not to just open the door to anyone without checking who's there first... (at least I hope you are...)

I watch alot of shows about people breaking in, and killing people, it scares me.

If anyone ever breaks in, I would hide under my bed (considering it's a twin sized bed, and one side of it is up against the wall, so they couldn't get me.) Oh and I would take my dogs under there with me. Hehe.

Or I could sit under my bed, screaming (sometimes when I scream I sound like the house alarm) and the robbers would think the alarm went off, and they'd run.

But thats just a theory.
