Has anyone on here tried to restore Tamagotchi paint?

I've been logging my Tamagotchi Angel for the past few days, and the more I play with it the more I've noticed that the paint is quite worn in areas, especially on the wings and lettering at the top. I'm wondering if I should try to restore it? I've worked with my mom on restoring the paint on Barbie doll faces, so I'm used to small stuff, and I don't ever plan on re-selling the Angel so I'm not worried about decreasing the value of it. Basically, I'm more concerned with getting the paint to stick to the plastic shell and not make it look worse...

You have gold wings? I have restored mine... but not much play with it lately. I used an art product called "smooch" it looks very simmilar to a nailpolish container. If you get it, likely silver is simmilar for silver wings, just know, you need a good clear coat to go over it.

Its one of those you let it dry forever or carefully use an hairdryer... mine didnt dry fast at all and it smears easily. Hence, the good clear coat, which basically needs to be carefully "dropped/placed" onto the wings. It may take a few tries.

Unfortunatly, its a tad pricey, but it does match my original paint on the wings. Just be careful with it, smooch ink can be very fun...

Good to know!! I'll see where I can buy some and give it a try. Yeah, I have a yellow and the wings are gold.

I haven't necessarily restored any of my tamas but I have painted my own design onto one of the shells with nail polish when I was younger and it's barely chipped in the 4 years I've had it uvu

Dont use nailpolish. Remover will kill it... you would have to rub and let it fall off.

I've touched up the gold wings on both of my Angels, and have customized two other tamas. I use Testor's model paints with a clear coat on top.

I wouldn't have thought of model paint!! There's a model train shop downtown where I live; I'm sure they'd have some gold paint in there!
