"And I'll never let you let me go, either, baby," Angie replied, giving him a quick, gentle kiss on the lips. "I could never imagine my life without you. Or even living a single day without having you with me.. I could hardly bare it." The idea of spending time without Mikey seemed an impossibility now. She stroked his cheek and said, "So, you said you were saving that important moment for the woman you knew you wanted to marry. So you knew you wanted to marry me that first night..? That so sweet." That thought meant a lot to her, that he had been so sure so soon that she was the one he wanted to spend his life with.
Brandon was biding his time for now. He'd let her ease him into stronger reactions like he knew she liked to hear from him, and then take his turn some time after that. For now, he just closed his eyes and concentrated on enjoying the feeling of her teeth grazing against his skin. He let out a quiet groan of pleasure.
"I'm sorry. I mean, I had no idea you had someone that close," Evander said to Prudence. He was actually glad, in a way, that she'd had someone in her lifetime to love her at one point, although it saddened him to know that she'd had to go through losing someone she loved. At least he didn't love his ex wife any more. "Well, I think it's good that you're waiting for someone you love, before you do, again. I mean, in 235 years, most vampires wouldn't have been able to stand that.." he said, somewhat thoughtfully. He definitely admired that in her. At her last sentence, that she cut off, he told her, "You won't know that until you tell me.. I don't think I will, so you should go ahead. What were you going to say?"
