Brandon had wanted to be polite to her since the beginning of their conversation, when he heard about some of the things she'd been through; so he was refraining from reading her thoughts, and therefore not knowing how she felt. This was probably just as well, because he would have tried to convince her otherwise had he heard her. "Well, surely it's better than being at home, by yourself all the time," he pointed out.

'The thing is, I don't have a real home. I don't feel at home anywhere. I'm prone to feeling like I can't belong anywhere. I don't know if it's my ability or what but... I just never feel a sense of belonging."

"So, you feel like you belong more here because there are people like you..?" He asked, still trying to read her from just their external conversations. It wasn't the reason he'd come here in the first place, but it was a good one. "I suppose I've never felt like I could ever fit in anywhere or with anyone, either, because of what I am.." He said, agreeing with her point. "My.. Brothers and sisters- you could say that's what they are-, they were the same until they found someone they connected with; another vampire who became their soulmate, and then once that happens, we never feel like we have to belong anywhere else.."

Sadie said, "I think I've lost my faith in love, soulmates, the whole deal. When I first met Rick, he seemed so gentle and kind.. but then, I began to see his true colors, especially when he drank. He came so close to killing me, and I didn't leave, because I thought I loved him. And then, one day, I found an old man on the street, reading the Bible out loud. 'Love is patient, love is kind.' And it was then I knew: there wasn't love. I don't even know if there had ever been love at all. I don't know if I was even meant to find love at all."

"I have eternity to find my soulmate.." Brandon said. Living forever really wasn't all what it was cracked up to be. At least he was able to sleep, where some couldn't- he wondered how he would keep on going if he didn't just that little break from reality.. "You'll find the right person someday, you're still young, right?" He said, finding it in himself to comfort her in the best way he could. "Someone like you doesn't deserve to be unloved their whole life."

Sadie said, "I may not be physically old, but I feel like my soul is old. I've been through so much, sometimes it seems like the end will be a blessing to me."

"You shouldn't say that.. How will anything good ever come to you if you're just waiting for that supposedly blissful moment where you never have to feel any pain again?" Brandon said, sounding suddenly pained by her words. "And then you can't feel anything else, either.. No happiness, no love- nothing bad, and yet nothing good."

Sadie sighed and said, "Maybe you're right. I don't really know what to believe anymore." She stared up at the sky, deep blue, with thousands upon thousands of pearly white stars.

Man, you guys reply really fast! Haha, no idea where I am. Oh well xD

Acelynn fingered the plastic water bottle distractidely while running her tongue over her dagger-like canines. She was thirsty, and really thirsty, not just water thirsty. She scoped out the bar deciding she'd only take a little from whoever she chose. Her hazel eyes fell on the drunk boy who had confronted her earlier, causing a smirk to upturn her rose lips.

Ryan's eyebrow was raised as he saw the angelic face of the girl he had been watching-he thought he heard someone call her Acelynn-turn to a hungry, rather menacing one.

Well, it'e mainly been a conversation between mine and BG's characters, apart from a confrontation, who was still just another one of BG's characters, so you haven't really missed much involving everyone else :3

"I don't blame you.." He sighed, following her gaze. "I realise they look much prettier when you get closer, now that I see them from here," he said, going off topic and smiling.

Sadie leaned close to him, pointing out different constellations and planets in the sky. "That red one right there is Orion's Belt. It's one of my favorites, actually." She smiled and continued.

Gotcha, thanks.

Acelynn got up from her comfy spot at the bar and strolled over to the boy who was sprawled out on his chair, his blue eyes blood shot from the alchahol. "Hi," Acelynn smiled enchantingly, taking the seat across from him. He looked up, a wide grin spreading across his tan face.

Ryan squirmed a bit in his chair as he watched what was happening. He had a feeling that it was not going to end up good for the poor drunken boy.

No problem :3

"Oh yes, I see it," he nodded. "Sirius, Sisters Seven..." His finger traced the outlines of the constellations. "Are you afraid of heights?" he asked, probably sounding like a very strange, random question to her.

Sadie raised an eyebrow, taken aback by his question. She answered, "No, not at all. Why do you ask?" A curious smile tugged at her lips.

"Wellello there suggaaa.." The boy slurred, hiccuping loudly at the end. "Hello," Acelynn smiled, leaning forward a bit so she could whisper in his ear. "I forgive you for being a disgusting drunken pig. And I was wondering if you would like to come with me to the private rooms." She lifted her eyebrows suggestledly, she could almost hear the blood swimming through his veins.

Ryan continued watching, twittling his fingers subconsciencely.

Brandon grinned, "Good, because I wouldn't be doing this if you were.." He turned and pulled her onto his back, beginning to scale the building opposite the bar at a ridiculous speed, jumping from one rooftop to the next without so much as a sound when he landed. He climbed higher until he couldn't find a better spot, and set her down on the office building, a huge structure mostly constructed from glass. He looked to the stars again. "Now, there's no way you can tell me that they don't look better from here."

Sadie scooted close to the edge, letting her feet dangle over it. "You're right. The stars look much better from way up here." She looked at Brandon, smiling. "Thank you for bringing me here."

"My pleasure," Brandon replied, smiling back at her widely. "Everything looks better from up here.. You can see the city lights, and it's kind of relaxing watching the moving red and white of the car headlights moving through the streets.." He sighed contently, "And it's quiet, that's a bonus."

Acelynn struggled to keep her laugh in control as the boy nodded furiously, gripping her hand with his clammy one. "Lesgoo." He slurred, pulling her towards the back.

Ryan fought the urge to save the man, but he probably deserved what he was going to get.

Sadie stood up, getting a good look at everything. "It's so beautiful up here... I want to save this moment forever."
