[KERFUFFLE]

It's a piece based on "Paul Weller's Stanley Road" by Sir Peter Blake. I've changed the imagery to suit what means a lot to me as opposed to Paul.

Peter Blake also did the artwork for lots of The Beatles' albums.

"Uncle B! She looks like Sadie, doesn't she?" Ysi said. She grinned up at him. "I can't believe you have a baby, Uncle B! She's so pretty! I'll be the best.. Cousin, I think. I promise!"

Oh! That's really cool! I wish I had an art class.

But I've got choir, so I feel it's just as good.

Sadie said, "I know you'll be the best cousin. I always have."

Cosette reached out, trying to take Ysi's hand. She scrunched up her face in frustration, waving her little arms as best as she could.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

It was a definite subject for me to take as a GCSE.

Nobody's ever taught me how to draw. I did it myself, and I'm quite proud of that.

Ysi looked confused. Brandon said to her, "She wants to hold your hand." And so Ysi put her hand out, well within Cosette's reach now. Her hand was small enough that Cosette could just about get a full grip on it.

I took some more realistic types of art classes, but I stick with more of a cartoon style.

Cosette smiled, and just held Ysi's hand. She cooed happily, waving her arm while she still held Ysi's hand.

Sadie said, "Ysi, I think Cosette already likes you."

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Personally, I want to be an animator. Painting realistically has been a first for me, so I don't think I've done too badly. I'll improve, just like my pencil portraits did.

It's FINISHED! It's about 16 hours worth of work, but it's finished!!

"Well, everybody loves Ysi. And Cosette loves everybody. But she really does like you," Brandon agreed.

"I like her, too, Uncle B and Sadie. I'm so happy you have a baby!"

Sadie smiled and kissed the top of Ysi's head. "Thank you, sweetie."

Cosette squealed happily, letting go of Ysi's hand and waving her arms delightedly.

Prudence felt her heart melt when she saw how happy the little family was.

You're the first person to see it completed besides my parents.

"You're welcome," Ysi beamed up at the pair and then hugged Brandon tightly. "You haven't forgotten my question, though, have you? Will you really let her talk weird like you, Uncle B?"

Sadie laughed, deciding to let Brandon answer that for himself.

Cosette had Sadie's hospital gown in her mouth, sucking on it happily. She was in her own little world.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

I'm proud of it. Hopefully I'll get a good grade for it.

Brandon was laughing, too, along with everyone else who'd heard. "I'm not sure. I don't expect she will talk like me if she's around everyone else who talks.. Normally," he told her. "But you can set her straight if she starts to, alright?" He felt it best just to play along.

Cosette yawned, burrowing into Sadie's front once more.

As if on cue, the nurses came in. "I think we'd better take her to the nursery, to get her ready to go home." One of them said.

Sadie reluctantly gave her child to the nurses, but not before whispering, "I love you."

Cosette couldn't see her parents anymore, which made her start screaming and crying. The nurses closed the door, but the sound could still be heard, faintly, until they were out of earshot.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

I'd better, considering how long I worked on it, plus the sketchbook to go with it.

Brandon had quickly kissed Cosette's forehead before the nurses took her away. Of course, it wasn't nice tohear their baby cry, but it was sort of a good sign in the respect that she already accepted them as her parents.

Sadie felt her heart breaking when she heard Cosette cry. It made her very upset, and she really wanted Cosette back with her and Brandon. She looked very unhappy that their baby wasn't there. "I can't wait to go home."

 

[KERFUFFLE]

She told me today when I came to check that she'd recieved it that she'd looked through it so far and it was looking good. I'll find out what she really thinks next week, I suppose

I would find out tomorrow, if I didn't have my piano exam O:

Brandon nodded in agreement and hugged Sadie against him chest. "Me neither. I wouldn't look too forward to a good night's sleep, though," he chuckled. He kissed her temple, "She'll be back soon, it's alright."

Sorry I wasn't on yesterday! I had a choir concert.

Sadie sighed. "I know. It's just... it's crazy, how much I miss her already. And it broke my heart to hear her cry." She cuddled close to him and sighed.

Maybe we can skip to later?

Sure. How much later? xD

Brandon nodded and held her close. "I know.. It's amazing how attached we already are.. She'll be back soon, though. And then we can all go home.

A few minutes later and another nurse came in, with forms and such, as well as Cosette's birth certificate. "Two things for this. Surname, and, does she have any middle names?"

When they get home, I guess. Because that's when the fun begins. heh heh heh....

The concert went pretty well! Once I get the cd, I'll let you hear some of the songs.

Sadie said to Brandon, "I like the middle name Marie. Cosette Marie, I think it's pretty." She went ahead and filled out some of the other forms, which pertained insurance and such, and signed her name on Cosette's birth certificate.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

xD True, yeah.

Brandon filled out his forms and his part of the birth certificate. Quickly, he asked, "Is she having your last name or mine?"

Everyone had settled back into the house at last, after everyone having yet another cuddle with Cosette before Brandon and Sadie could finally head upstairs. A spare room, which had convienently been right next to their own room, and the other vampires had decorated it and made it into a nursery for them as a surprise. "You must be absolutely knackered," he said to Sadie, chuckling.

We sang a bunch of cool songs, and I had a solo at the very end of one.

and we did this thing where we took lines of different christmas songs that involved the night. we sang them in the same key, but we made it so the lines overlapped and stuff. Plus, it was pitch black, and the acoustics were AMAZING

Sadie said, "Yours."

YES! SKIPPITY

Sadie looked at him curiously. "Knackered? Well, that's one I've never heard before. What does it mean?" She cradled Cosette, who was sleeping, close to her chest. Cosette had fallen asleep a few minutes after they got home.

Sounds awesome! Like, really, really amazing <3

I'm playing at a concert next week. I'm a pianist in the Concert band and the only one in the Orchestra. I'll be the first one to play on the new grand piano =D

"We've been together almost a year and a half and I've never used that word around you?" Brandon looked incredibly surprised. "It means really, really tired." He chuckled. He muttered to himself something like 'can/t believe she's never heard me say that.. weird.'

And how exciting! I love grand pianos! I'll bet it's going to sound amazing!

Sadie went into Cosette's room and set her in her crib. She then got a good look around the room, smiling. "Brandon, your family has been so good to me and Cosette. I don't know if I'll ever be able to tell them just how thankful I am, not only for allowing me to live here, but accepting me as well."
