The only time I got a PM from the administrative team was when I was advertising via PM about a year ago. D:

Except for that one time I PMed a Guide and asked why my topic was closed... there was a big multi-user name misunderstanding. But my topic got reopened in the end.

Being a Guide would be fun & enjoyable. Especially because you're looked-up upon in the forums. Like, "Wow, they're a Guide. They must be pretty special." kind of thing. Of course it's a big responsibility, but it's an even bigger honor.

You know, maybe I'll be a Guide, but maybe I won't. I'm not going to get all upset about it and have it ruin my time here.
