This sounds like they were talking about the parents house.

While your tama is visiting the parents house:

(1) look for a letter / sheet of paper on the desk near the right side of the screen. Right click on it, and select "Zoom In". Do this about 3 times, and it should be big enough to read the message on the paper. When you're done reading it, right click then select "Show All" to go back to normal size view.

(2) click on the cell phone that's on the coffee table. It will start ringing. Move the mouse down off the coffee table. Wait a moment. Another tama should appear and say "moshi moshi" in his cell phone. (Moshi moshi is the Japanese greeting used when answering a phone.)
