Ok well I have a problem. Every time I like a guy and I flirt subtly and stuff, I just can't bring myself to let them know without actually telling them that I like them. (i am a traditionalist so I think the guy should ask the girl out) I don't want to seem overbearing but I want to let this one guy know that I like him. What do I do to give him the green light?

Well...try to be funny and friendly first then they will think your cute probally. But how old are you anyways? Are you like 15 or something? First be friends before any flirting or they'll probally get turned off....

I think if they like you they'll tell you. They won't need your permission if they really want you to know.

but maybe that's just the way I work.

Just talk to him and become friends. If you try to force him to ask, it probably isn't going to happen. Wait, and give it some time first.

Do what I did get to know him a little more and become friends like TDF said and then wait for the right moment to make your move  .

When I liked this one guy, I would call him like every night just to talk to him.

So, one night I decided to ask him who he liked, so eventually he asked who I liked and after arguing for awhile I told him, and he ended up liking me too.~

Now we're going out. <3

I think that at my age (14) it is not necessary. There is no need for a boyfriend. I surround myself by really great guys who are fun to hang out with. I'm not so much into the whole dating thing. When the right guy comes... he will be the one to make the move... and I won't know I like him until he tries.

What happened to that?

That was like... Two weeks ago xD

I think it's better to be just friends. You don't get as nervous, and you don't have to worry about him "asking" you. When you feel like your ready, go for it.
