I think I read Monster Blood in French in grade 9! I did read a few of those books (in English) one summer though.

I also read a bunch of RL Stine's 'Fear Street' books, but looking at the list on wikipedia I can't easily identify which ones.

My goodness, goosebumps... I used to love those choose your own adventure ones where you'd "flip to page 26 if you open the chest; flip to page 4 if you'd rather climb the rope." Those where epic.
