Glasses...........

Well I went to the Opticians today because I have started Complaining about how I cant read far away stuff, So when I got my eyes checked out I have found out I am short sited. Its ok for me because about 7 people in my class are short sited and 2 have to where there glasses all the time.

Do you have Glasses or where any?

Nope, I'm getting contact lenses in a couple weeks though, but I only have to wear one of them in my left eye. My right eye has 20/20 vision, and my left eye has something much worse. My vision in my left eye has slowly been getting worse for four years, but the same thing happened to my dad, and he can see pretty well with his contact lenses, so I'll be fine!

I'm twelve, but I'm going to be thirteen next month.

When I first saw my dad put contacts in, I thought it was pretty creepy, but he said it doesn't hurt if you put them in right. I'm only going to wear them when I'm at school too, so they won't stick to my eyes or anything.

I am short sited But I HATE my Glasses so I only wear them for lessons <.>

Yeah, one of my uncles had really bad eyesight when he was a kid, plus a lazy eye, and now he can see perfectly and doesn't need glasses!

when i was in 1st grade... the eye doctor gave me glasses because i was blind in one eye...not alittle...but not a lot. Well...turns out i did not need glasses and....the eye i was blind in is now even worse!!!!!!!!!!!! I only see bright colors like green out of it....i am now in 6th grade...

I used to. You have the same problem as me! Now, I have contacts. They work better. I like myself without contacts, not with contacts

I have horrible vision. I've had glasses since 1st grade and I'm now in 6th. I'm near-sighted and I have an astigmatism. I have trial contacts, but yeah.... I hate the feeling of touching and squeezing my eyes and stuff. I don't know why, I'm just scared 2!

My mum and dad have glasses, so the chance of me having bad eyesight when I get older is pretty high. And what's worse is that, living in Australia, the sun is blinding (really). The sun destroys eyes and they can get cancer in their eyes. Better put the sunnies on, heh?

I used to be farsighted, but farsightedness is something that you can grow out of. Your eyes are just too short, so you can't see things too close up. I always got headaches from reading, so I guess they were just reading glasses. I wore them for a few months and then I started using them less and less. Now I can go on the computer without having to put my glasses on! happyhappy!
