Yeah, my mom and I have ours at the same time a lot of times. :D I never really thought about it before though...!
Love,

CB
Ha. My period starts like, a few days after Mom's is over xD

Although my friend and I usually have it at the same time, but dont start/end on the same day =3

I heard:
That if you live with someone else who has had their period (Sister, mother) And you have completely different period times, eventually, Well, I don't know the exact term, but I do know they start coming at the same time. It's a girl thing. That may be why some of you guys' periods are later than usual.
I started right when my mom was on her Period. Now she is 2 weeks ahead of me because my period wasn't regular yet. Now it is.

So yeah, that's true XD

It's called the McClintock effect. It's a theory that when women are living closely together the start of their periods tends to synchronize somewhat.

It's disputed tho' - because women have different length periods and even if they start on the same day, one might finish two days earlier - and their cycle will be two days different from the other woman in the following month - so each month the synchronisation of start dates would get further and further apart.

It's just a fact that periods are a different length of days and the "monthly" cycle is a different number of days each month. Very few women start every 28 days exactly, every single month - it almost always varies by a day or two each time - unless they are taking special medication that exactly regulates their dates.

asdfjkl;; O:<

I'm so early -- AGAIN.

Let's take a look back on the past few months:

-- I GOT my period May 13th.

-- I GOT my period June 11th.

-- I GOT my period July 9th.

D: They're getting progressively shorter apart each time, and lighter, too. Like, it annoys me. I wasn't expecting mine until like, the fifteenth this month >_>

Arghh

Those are actually like, almost exactly 28 days (the cycle of an 'average' period) apart. So they might just be getting more regular.

Really?

I'll have to go find my calender and count days. XD

Because normally it came a few days LATER each month, like if I got it May 13th, I would expect it June 15th, and July 17th, etc

Oh my...It hurts bad xD Right now im on it and i am VERY moody when im on it x.x Like my mom will be like "Hey how was your day?" And im just like"MOM LEAVE ME ALONE GOSH I DONT WANNA TALK TO YOU."~Mom gives a WTF look~"WHY WONT YOU LEAVE ME ALONE I JUST DONT WANNA TALK ABOUT IT OKAY?" xD then well i get in trouble xD That sucks because it just comes out xD But yes it hurts bas xD My cramps make me cry a lot xD

I got mine pretty much on time, like usual. Yesterday morning.

I'm pretty heavy right now.. it sucks. I hardly notice it when I have my period except for when I get cramps and can feel the odd amount of blood come out. xD

I've had my period since December 1st, so... 6 and a half months? Mine has always been regular. I get it exactly when I'm supposed to, except for the one time I get a 'period-in-between-periods'.

So it's easy to predict when I'll get mine.

My period lasts about six to seven days each time, and I went back on my calender and counted, and it's like, exactly twenty-four days each time.

I am somewhat on time at the moment, I believe.

Last month I got mine on the 11th and I still haven't gotten it this month yet. If I wake up tomorrow morning and find that I have it, then it's perfectly on time. 8D

But then again, I'm not regular yet, so yeah. :[

I think I'm lucky, I always know about a day before I get my period. The reason is that the night before [ I always get it in the morning, for some reason ] I get, just a little tiny bit, of light brown discharge when I wipe after going to the bathroom, so there are never any surprises for me.

Unfortunately, they're pretty much unpredictable when it comes to cycles.

At some point I'm gonna convince my mom to let me go on birth control just so I get fewer periods xD

@ Krystal - I was TERRIFIED to try tampons. When I'd attempt, I'd start shaking and sometimes break down crying. They're not NEAR as bad as you'd think. I'm actually wearing one right now, hahah :)

@ Feebee - I already asked my mom if I could get on birth control, and got a resounding, "NO." I told her it was so I could get fewer periods, but I really wanted it just in case I ever had sex. I'm not planning on it anytime soon, but you know, accidents happen, and I want to be prepared.. XD

My mom actually had me on birth control for a while. My period was REALLY heavy and I was only about 11, so we asked my doctor if it was normal, she said no and recommended the pill. So i took it for about 5 months, then went off it when my period was more, normal xD I just got it again yesterday, it's a bit heavier than usual, but definitely not as heavy as before.

Mine just ended on Thursday.

Even if I do keep track of when my period arrives, the only thing I learn from it is that it's never a regular cycle.

I've had it for two years and it still hasn't gotten into a groove yet.

If it regulates between now and when I leave to go on vacation in a few weeks, it'll come the last 2-3 days.

Which means I'll have to brave an eight-hour car trip on the rag.

Lovely.

But if not, I should be okay.
