For both tampons and pads - you change them when you need to - like when they have absorbed all that you can reasonably expect them to absorb.

With tampons you should have them in up to 8 hours (not more) - but on a heavy flow day (like on the early days of your period) you might change a tampon after 3-4 hours.

The pad is easier to judge - it is more visible and you will be able to see when it needs changing.

Like so many members have already said - everybody's different - everybody starts at different ages... there's nothing wrong with you so please don't worry.

Really - take it from those of us who know - it is not something you really need to wish for... once it starts you will have your periods until your menopause (when periods stop at about 50yrs old)... so there'll be plenty of months to "enjoy" it...

You could be stressed, and stress causes you to miss periods. Or maybe they are just really irregular.

BUT if you've had sex there's always a possibilty that your pregnant.

Well I havent had my period yet but here are the things I do have. I am 12 berely 12 like 3 weeks of 12. And I have discharge, a little armpit hair, a little bit of pubic hair, and I just got my first zit I think. Its tiny but still! Oh and guys I have little bumps on my arm and legs. See I have had these little bumps sense I was 8, and now I am 12 and I use to pick them and now I have brown little scars that look like little tiny birthday marks. and I mean I never picked them on my face but I have tried everything I can sense I was 8 and nothing works! Some people say they will turn in to zits in like 1 year after having them but I have had them for 4 years and I mean they arent bad but I mean they have gotten better when I clean my face every night and morning but I dont pick them anymore I stopped that when I was 11 I think! But plz does anyone know how to get rid of them?
