I was wondering some things about shaving. I really just want to know the general female opinion on it.

 

I am almost 13, and my mom won't let me shave my legs! I get to use Veet with a bladeless shaver, but I still want to try a real razor with blades.

 

My mom said there was a time when she shaved her legs everyday! I use my Veet like once a week or week and a half, and even then I'm lazy and don't do it! I usually skip a lot during the winter because I wear jeans. I shave my arms (they are hairy x.x) about every two weeks.

 

Do you shave everyday? Or how often? Does it bother you? What blade razor do you suggest I start with?

I have been using the Venus Breeze for a while now, and it's nice and smooth for your legs. And it has a body butter strip, which keeps you smooth for about a week. Which is how often I tend to shave, and reccomend to. It smells and feels great, so it's not a-pain-in-the-but to do it every week. And cuts? Barely any were on me.

I would suggest this blade for your first shave, but also remember to respect your 'rent's desicion. You'll be able to shave before you know it.

But Disposable Razors, such as the Venus Malibu, tend to cut me alot. >_<

But Svaving cream, lots of it, prevents that.

And to tell you the truth, I would much rather use Veet than have to shave my legs every week to get them smooth.

Now only does the smoothness last longer(up to 2 weeks I heard), but so does the bottle. And you're not risking any nicks, razor bumps, or cuts all over your legs, armpits, or wherever else.

And in the winter, I would try to keep my shaving routine to the bare minimum.

Nobody is gonna see your legs during that time, so stick with moisturizer instead.

And straight after you shave, try soothing the area with moisturizer (frangrance free is best for sensitive skin) to soothe and soften.

Nair worked for me at first, but then it seemed to get less affective. So I switched to Veet with the bladeless razor. Yes, it works, but not for two weeks. I start to get short, stubby hairs back on my legs about 5 days afterwards.

 

You have to apply the cream that comes with Veet for 3-6 minutes. Then, you use the bladeless razor to take off as much as you can, and hop in the shower to rinse the rest.

 

Maybe it isn't so bad...

Depends really. If my legs will be visible to someone at a certain time I will shave them ahead of time. But usually if noone's going to see my bare legs but me I shave every 2-5 months. I've used nair as well which is awesome ^_^

If you're shaving your actual arms, your hair is going to be darker when it grows back and you'll have to keep doing it x.x' I wouldn't really recommend it.

I shave under my arms and my arms. My hair actually doesn't grow back any darker on my regular arms, I just have wierd arm hair. XD I have A LOT of hair on the top but not any on the underside of my arms. It got so bad people would comment on my hairy arms. Not fun.

Don't wish for blades. They peel some skin off and cut you badly I've got a giant scar up my leg from a razor. I've now changed to bladeless!

Sounds like you're either using a razor more than once and it's rusted/dulled a bit or you are not doing it properly or too rough...because that shouldn't be happening.

Venus Breeze is very nice.

Anyway I hardly shave my legs in the winter so come Spring they are hairy and scary. I'm lazy what can I say. In summer when I shave my hair starts growing back in about a week so.

Well, I only shave about once a week because I almost ALWAYS where pants. I can't stand shorts, even tho it is the middle of summer right now. I just think that they're more comfortable.

Well, anyways.... I would probebly just keep using the bladless if I were you, becuase you're less likly to get cut and the shave lasts longer. My family can't afford that stuff, so I just use disposable 3 blade razors.

i use venus breeze, i shave every other day, except 4 in the winter i shave 1 qa week. i used veet and it didnt work, prob cause i used it in the shower and i got it wet or something.
