Shadow of the Colossus was breathtaking. For those who don't know, it's a game entirely composed of what essentially are boss battles, and it's actually heart-pounding when you're fighting one.
This might sound really dumb, but Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time is the only video game that has ever made me cry. Parts of it remind me of a very emotional event in my life (I don't know how, but it does).
Rayman 2: The Great Escape has a special spot in my heart too. It was the first video game that I ever played and really got me into video games. I don't know how many times I've played through it by now, but it's WAY more than I can count offhand XD It's got some pretty glaring flaws now that I look at it, but back in the day, it was stunning to me.
