I've had many of my tamas since I was little, and on some of them, she screens are scratched up pretty badly.

I do have a tube of something that is supposed to "heal" scratched screens, but it dosen't work at all.

I'm wondering what you guys use to fill scratches...?

Would clear nail polish work maybe? I don't have any, so I'd like to know before I pay for something I'm not even sure will work.

Thank you!

Clear nail polish would just blur the screen, and it would make an uneven surface that would probably be even more prone to scratching.

Nail polish remover, just was a warning, should NEVER be used on the Tamagotchi for any reason. I used it to get krazy glue off the shell (don't ask) and I ended up with a little bit on the screen. As I went to wipe it off, I found that the nail polish remover had MELTED the screen. So now my v4.5 has a permanently unsightly, melted screen that makes playing somewhat difficult.

I don't know if there really is ANYTHING to get off scratches.

Other than replacing the screen....but who wants to do that?

Don't use nail polish remover, it's really bad for Tamagotchi's. It'll smear the paint and leave the screen looking "foggy" permanently. Maybe use a buffer (not a nail buffer) or just completely replace the screen.

I've not tried this, but I use peanut butter to fix light scratches in CDs. Just make sure you clean it off well. Or maybe some regular car wax. Wait till it dries.

I agree about Displex if you haven't already tried it. It's supposed to work wonders on scratched screens. Keep in mind that for screens that are heavily scratched, using multiple applications of the stuff will help. You don't need a lot of it; just be prepared to apply it several times before you see results. Good luck!

I've heard reports of toothpaste working, but that might have just been for the shell. I doubt that's true, anyhow, but I don't think there's any damage in trying...

Careful with displex though, because its formula actually melts the screen a little so adding too much or not rubbing it long enough might do some damage to the screen.
