got this many years ago, anyone knows what is this? just realised its fake :/

It's definitley not a tamagotchi because of the av and the buttons

There should be three buttons (round ones)

And I've never ever sure that there's been a shell like that...

But anyways... It's a fake xD

Sorry, yes, it is a fake. You can tell by the shape of the shell, it doesn't say "Tamagotchi" on the top, and the buttons are the wrong shape and number. Plus, I don't see any icons.

There are hundreds of different types of virtual pets out there - Bandai Tamagotchis is just one type of VP.

Mothra's site https://www.tamenagerie.com/ has a big selection of the different kinds of VPs there are - it might be worth looking through it.

It would help if you told us a little more about your pet. Did you buy it online at an auction site? And if you did, do you still have the link to it so that we can take a closer look?

Also - what details are embossed on the back of the shell - do you have a manufacturers name you can give us?

It's a different VP because since as TamaMum said - there's tons of pets out there. It's not only Tamagotchi, others too.

That's true. Just because it's a Tamagotchi, per say, doesn't mean it won't be fun. ^_^
