Okay, I just wanted to know if anybody else has been having this issue with a copy of EyePet PSP.
So I bought it yesterday, brought it home, started it up, and the game crashed on me three times. 1st it did it when I was taking a photo with the PSP cam for my EyePet ID, then it crashed two more times when I was trying to view my EyePet's photos in the corner of it's home (right after the beginning tutorial). So I went to GameStop, got it switched out, sat on a mall bench and tried the replacement. It crashed too. So I took it back in, and after testing it one more time (it failed), I got a refund. But they said they haven't had anyone else who's had issues with the game.
Then, I thought maybe the problem was with my PSP. So I went to another GS today and bought a copy. Tested it in the car---it crashed (game not car, car was parked, lol). I took it in, asked the guy to test the game on one of GS's own PSPs (along with inserting my memory card in it so they wouldn't have to go through the long start up process). So the guy updated their PSP, put EyePet and my memory card into it, tested it, got the point where I tried selecting the option to look at my EyePet's pics, and it crashed (yes, on THEIR PSP). For the heck of it, we decided to try ONE MORE COPY (on my own PSP, since the game crashed on theirs too, it was sort of confirmed my PSP wasn't funky). I started the game up, and it crashed at that point too. Hence, I officially gave up on EyePet and got a refund.
Okay, so here are the conditions:
1) My PSP is fairly new, I got it the month before last.
2) Battery was quite full.
3) My PSP has not had any issues with my two other games (Birth by Sleep & Crisis Core---both of which I've played for hours).
4) My PSP is not hacked, so I don't have any illegal game or software downloads on it to screw up my memory card or PSP.
5) EyePet crashed on GameStop's PSP too (with my memory card, but I don't THINK my memory card is the problem).
SO! Anyone else had issues with EyePet for the PSP? 'cause I want to be completely certain my PSP is good and clean of issues and that the problem is with the game. I'm going to be checking online every now and then to see if other people have had the same issue.
